Planning to attend a 4th of July Parade? Then you MUST create these easy 4th of July Parade Pom Poms to bring along with you! This project is simple and quick and perfect for those last minute plans!
If you’ve ever been to a parade or theme park you know that it’s like robbery when buying souvenirs and giant hands and props to wave around. I’m going to show you how to make your own parade pom poms with just a few supplies and for hardly any money.
4th of July Parade Pom Poms
SUPPLIES
Red, white and blue tissue paper
Paper Straws (or wood dowels)
Double-Sided Tape (or adhesive dispenser as pictured above)
Step One: Layer one sheet each of your red, white and blue tissue paper.
Step Two: Fold in half and cut down the crease because you only need to use half the size of the tissue paper sheets.
Step Three: Fold in half again and begin cutting 1/2 inch strips from the open end of the paper to make the fringes. Do not cut all the way through though. (obvi lol)
Step Four: Add a little double-sided tape to the end of the tissue paper, attach a paper straw and then just start rolling. Tape along the way as you go.
Step Five: Once you have it all rolled up, wrap the taped portion of tissue paper with washi tape just to finish it off. Fluff your pom poms just a bit by pulling the fringes down one or 2 at a time. (step not shown in photos – sorry!)
Look! Kid tested! And approved!
These turned out so cute! Simple crafts are the way to go in this house haha! I’ll show my daughter and see if she wants to help the boys make these.
