Halloween season is here and chances are there is a Halloween party in your future. Maybe it’s a costume party at a friends house or a scary moving watching marathon at the popular house on the block, you want to be prepared when it comes to sweet treats. I whipped up these super cute and easy Halloween Bags to share with you.
Halloween Goodie Bags
Everybody knows that when kids go to a party, especially a Halloween party they only have a few things in mind: Halloween candy, Halloween treats and all the pieces of candy they can get their hands on. And to be honest, if I was going to a party and I knew there would be goodie bags, my treat-lovin mind wouldn’t be on anything else!
When my girls were little, before we did trick-or-treating, I would make them their own Halloween basket because even though they were small, mommy knew it was all about the candy.
If you are the one throwing a party, consider making these easy DIY Halloween candy bags to give out to your guests as they leave. You don’t have to go all out either. You can toss any variety of Halloween candy and favors in a baggie and I’m sure no one would complain.
If even that feels like too much work, toss some candy in a boo bucket or a candy bowl, put out some drawstring bags and let your guest make their own take home goodie bag. You don’t have to make festive Halloween treat bags if you don’t want to.
If you’re middle of road and want something in between, here’s a little trick I learned using brown paper bags. It’s a creative way to take a household staple that is always on hand. All you need to do is fold the top over, use a hole punch to punch to punch a hole and attach the cute “Happy Halloween” tags (download available at the bottom of this post) to them with some ribbon and you’re good to go.
perfect party favors
I had these great craft paint cans that I’ve been itching to put to good use and decided to use them as my goodie bags. These aren’t quite bags but they serve the same purpose. You can pick them up at any local craft store like Michaels stores or Hobby Lobby. If prefer to shop from home for your Halloween party supplies, Amazon, Walmart and Target will all ship.
In my opinion, the best Halloween treat bags are any bags that come with candy. You want to hand me a little bag of candy corn, I won’t say no. Got a Sour Patch Kid snack you’re looking to get rid of, I’m your girl.
To help you create the perfect Halloween goodie bags, I’ve created some free printable Happy Halloween tags. I used mine by taping them to the front of my paint pails with polka dot washi tape. You can also staple them to the front of a brown (or white) paper bag if you won’t be using the pails or tie them on with ribbon.
