How to Play Memory

This download includes everything you need to play this exciting game of Memory. With 3 different games in one download, you can have several games going at one time if you have a large group of kids. Increase the difficulty up by combining all 3 games into one huge memory game.

1. Prepare the Cards: Grab some card stock and print your game of choice. Print out 2 pages of each memory card set and cut them out. This will give you 18 matches of memory cards per game. Optional: to make the memory game last longer and more durable, laminate your cards after printing but before cutting.
2. Set Up the Game: Shuffle the cards thoroughly and lay them face down in a grid pattern. The size of the grid can vary depending on the age and skill level of the players. A 4×4 grid is great for younger children, while older kids might enjoy the challenge of a larger grid.
3. Game Play: Players take turns flipping over two cards. If the cards match, the player keeps the pair and gets another turn. If they don’t match, the cards are turned face down again, and it’s the next player’s turn. The game continues until all pairs have been found.
4. Winning the Game: The player with the most pairs at the end of the game is the winner. This simple structure keeps children engaged and encourages them to use their memory skills to recall the position of previously seen cards.
