Remember that scene in Sweet Home Alabama where Reese is walking around in the cutest little country dress and cowboy boots? Well, I have been in love ever since…and after giving shirring a try in Madeline’s Spring Collection, I wanted to try to take it one step further for Chloe. After all, practice makes perfect!
The perfect dress for spring, that can be worn with or without tights, depending on the temperature. I used Michael Miller’s Gypsy Bandana border fabric in lime to complete the ensemble, which I loved until I realized the border was only on one side of the selvage…arghhh…party in the front, business in the back! Lol
But still a great dress…
I also ended up adding extra straps for the dress, mainly because I did not follow my own tutorial and needed to do something so it wasn’t an off the shoulder dress, my little one is too young for that in my opinion. But if you follow along, they won’t be needed…
