I love the combination of salty and sweet. That’s probably one of the reasons why I love to make bark so much. I always add some pretzels to my chocolate and cookie bark mixes so when I saw these pumpkin pretzels at Target the other day, I decided to do a spin on bark and make them bite size.
I used the Pumpkin Spice M&Ms that I’ve seen around the stores lately and boy were they delicious! I used them whole and I used them crushed up. Either way, these pumpkin spice pretzel bites are delicious. They are also very quick to make! If you love bark like I do then you will really love these!
Ingredients/Supplies
Pumpkin Shaped Pretzels (Target)
White Candy Melts
Pumpkin Spice M&Ms
Parchment Paper
Cookie Sheet
Disposable Pastry Bags
Step One: Lay out a single layer of pumpkin shaped pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step Two: Take a handful or 2 of M&M’s and put in plastic ziplock bag. Using a kitchen mallet, smash M&Ms into small pieces. I wanted to use some whole M&Ms and some broken up pieces so I separated them out. You can crush them all if you want though. It’s totally up to you.
Step Three: Melt white chocolate. Just follow package instructions. Once your chocolate is melted, pour it into a pastry bag so that you can pipe the chocolate right into the pumpkin without making a mess.
Step Four: While chocolate is still soft, add one M&M to each pumpkin pretzel or sprinkle some of the crushed M&M’s right on top.
Step Five: Put tray of pumpkin spice pretzel bites in fridge so that the white chocolate sets. This will only take about 20-30 minutes.
Step Six: Eat as many as you can and pretend there are no calories or fat.
So, so yummy! This is the perfect little after school treat for your kiddies or for those times when you just NEED your chocolate fix to get through the day.
