FUNNY WELCOME MATS
Every home should have some kind of welcome at all of the entrance points. Wiping your feet before entering the house is always smart. Who wants all that nasty dirt and germs from your shoes brought into their home?
The question is rhetorical but the answer is no one.
So, if you have to have a welcome mat, why not have a funny one. Here is my contribution to this month’s blog hop as well as a few other funny ones that I love.
Doorbell Broke, Yell Ding Dong Really Loudly SVG: We all have that friend or family member that would totally do this, right? You get total bonus points if you catch a delivery guy on your Ring bell doing this.
Smile You’re on Camera SVG: Speaking of Ring bells, may as well lay all of your cards on the table (err front step) and let your guests know that they’re being watched.
Okay, that sounds creepy but this welcome at idea is funny and cute.
The House Was Clean Yesterday SVG: Anyone need this warning outside your door before people come in? Yeah, me too! They’ve been warned.
Welcome! I Hope You Texted First SVG: Seriously folks, drop-in visitors are the worst! I can guarantee you that on any given day, I don’t want anyone just popping over.
TRADITIONAL WELCOME MATS
Maybe you’re not into the whole funny welcome mat thing. No problem. Plenty of traditional Welcome Mat SVGs here too!

WHERE TO PLACE WELCOME MATS IN YOUR HOME
Door mats can be used in many areas of your home. The most common places are at your front and back door but there are other places too. Of course no matter where you are putting a door mat, you can always find the appropriate saying for the space you’re walking into.
- Front and Back Doors
- Sheds
- Mudroom
- Guest House
- Pool House
Now that you’ve been inspired by all of these Welcome Mat designs, it’s time to download the free svgs.

WHAT CAN I MAKE WITH AN SVG?
I’m sure by now you probably have a nice little collection of free SVGs. There are so many things you can make with them. The sky is really the limit. Here are a few of my favorite projects and things to make using SVGs.
Wood Signs and Door Hangers: To use an SVG to make a sign or door hanger you will need a wood craft blank, vinyl, transfer tape, weeding tools, paint, cutting mat and your Silhouette or Cricut machine.
Tumbler, Mug and Water Bottles: To make custom drinkware you will need a drink blank which you can pick up at Target, Michaels, etc. and the same items from the wood sign.
Shirts, Tote Bags and Hats: To use SVG cut files on fabric you will need a fabric blank, HTV (heat transfer vinyl), heat press or home iron, weeding tools, cutting mat and of course your Silhouette or Cricut.
If the SVG you’re using has multiple colors, consider sublimation. You will need special sublimation paper, a sublimation printer and craft blanks that are designated for sublimation.
For sublimation you will want to use the PNG file that comes with your download. Note: colors on your screen might vary from the printed version.
Stickers: I love stickers and they are easier to make than you think. To make stickers with your cut files you will need to use the PNG file sized way down, full sheet labels, cutting mat and your machine.
